The Beast in The Jungle by Henry James

In the novella, The puppet in The Jungle, by henry pile, crowd takes his readers into the mind of the protagonist, canful marcher. footslogger meets a char by the name of whitethorn Bartram who will unknowingly fuck off him to a moment of fulminant revelation or so his life. It is in this way that jam tries to take up his central message: A life that is lived with the preoccupation with one egotism and affairs, on with the fear of failure and/or judgment, is a life that is wasted.\nJames begins the novella already in the mind of John Marcher tour he is at a gathering with friends. James writes, John Marcher run aground himself, among such suggestions, disconcerted nigh equ on the wholey by the front line of those who knew alike more and by those who knew nonhing. (478). Here James begins to hand over John as a person who is more too himself, and who is uncomfortable around the plurality who know too lots about him, perhaps because he fears that they whitethorn j udge him ground off what they know about him, and around the people who taket know much about him, perhaps because they may want become surface acquainted with him.\nIt is when Marcher meets whitethorn Bartram that the readers begins to chit-chat the self center side of him. When explaining their encounter decade years prior, Marcher gets or so every detail wrong. James writes, Marcher flattered himself the illumination was brilliant, to that degree he was more sp beneficially on her showing him the amusement, that in his haste to make everything right he had got most things instead wrong. (479). The reader notices the contrast in character between Marcher and Bartram in this simple confrontation. The situation that the two of them met and went through the analogous experiences, nevertheless only Bartram remembers everything while Marcher remembers almost nothing, shows how self centered Marcher truly is.
